Energy Transfer LP — the Dallas midstream partnership people still Google as Energy Transfer Partners — said Sept. 10, 2026 it will transfer the listing of its common units from the New York Stock Exchange to the Texas Stock Exchange (TXSE) in Dallas. That is the Dallas stock exchange in this headline. The company expects units to begin trading on TXSE on Oct. 5, 2026 under the same ticker, ET. Series I preferred units (ETprI) are scheduled to move the same morning. Energy Transfer’s Form 8-K says NYSE trading is expected to end at the close on Oct. 2, 2026, after the partnership approved the withdrawal on Sept. 3.

Reuters put Energy Transfer with related listings — including Sunoco LP, SunocoCorp, and USA Compression Partners — among the first primary equity moves from NYSE to TXSE, a combined market capitalization the exchange put near $100 billion. The company’s own release said the shift lines a Texas-based midstream network up with a Texas exchange. Energy Transfer describes about 140,000 miles of pipeline and related infrastructure across 44 states.

None of that is a sale of your minerals. A listing venue is where the partnership’s units trade. Your royalty decimal, NPRI, or override sits on a county record, not on a ticker tape. If a mineral deed arrived the same week as this headline, treat it as a conveyance, then send it so we can try an offer or a counter.

What a Dallas listing does not change underground

Operator and midstream press often lands in the same mailbox as buyout packets. “Energy Transfer is moving to Dallas” is not “your tract just got a new posted price.” Gathering, residue gas, NGLs, and crude still move on contracts you are not a party to. A new exchange does not rewrite a lease, a division order, or a assignment of overriding royalty.

What can follow midstream headlines is more mail on Permian, Haynesville, and Barnett-adjacent minerals next to pipes and plants. Buyers quote net mineral acres as if a ticker change were geology. Match the county on the oil and gas map and the Texas location page before anyone notarizes a granting clause.

Source and what we are not saying

Listing facts follow Reuters’ Sept. 10, 2026 report, Energy Transfer’s Business Wire announcement the same day, and the partnership’s Form 8-K (NYSE close Oct. 2, TXSE open Oct. 5, tickers ET and ETprI). We rewrote the mineral-owner angle; we did not copy those articles. This is not investment advice, not a recommendation to buy or sell ET units, and not legal advice about your tract. Mineral Vertex buys oil and gas minerals and matches owners with buyers. We do not promise to beat every letter.
